personel bio picJoe Jenkins

has worked on slate roofs since 1968. He started his own contracting business in 1970 and began specializing in slate roofing in 1980. He had worked on over 1000 slate roofs before writing the first edition of the Slate Roof Bible in 1997. Jenkins is currently executive director of the Slate Roofing Contractors Association of North America, Inc., a non-profit, international trade association. Jenkins's work as a slate roof consultant, especially in litigation support, has made apparent the need for education and training on behalf of slate roof installers. Do it right and stay out of trouble! Joe Jenkins's book, The Slate Roof Bible, now in its 3rd edition and first published in 1997, sprang from the slate roofing trade he had developed over the years. The 3rd edition won 10 national and international book awards. Available on Amazon. Also available as an E-Book. This book is one of the course handouts.
